William
Diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the left tibia at 6 years old, William had a rough course of treatment and underwent a knee disarticulation amputation. But William never let anything get him down and 11 days after surgery he was bungee jumping! Now seventeen years old, William’s happy place is on the water fishing or swimming and you can find him being a typical teenager playing his PS4 or being with his group of friends he has had since second grade. William is also now a mentor for a local teenage girl who is a fellow amputee from an accident. We have loved being able to provide William with the prostheses he needs to live a full, active, and healthy life and love seeing him grow up into the wonderful young man he is today and paying it forward by mentoring others!
