Kai
Adopted from China when he was 11 ½ years old, Kai spoke no English when he came to the states and had only worn a prosthesis for less than two years of his life, despite being a congenital bilateral below knee amputee. Now 17 years old, Kai, who also has limb differences on his upper limbs, is doing so well with his prosthetic leg and has taught himself how to ride a bike, and loves playing basketball and kickball at school recess. Kai also enjoys playing with LEGOS, card games, and word searches and thanks to JTF, he is pain free in his prostheses and able to keep up with his sister and peers!
