Hi, my name is Kyle and I was involved in a near fatal accident on July, 19th 2019. I was vacation with a friend of mine where we were victims to a high-speed chase involving a juvenile and the police department. We were hit head on at nearly 100mph. During this tragedy I had a total of eight surgeries, many nights in the hospital, therapies, lab testings, and treatments in attempt to save my leg. After three months in attempt to save my leg there was no more saving and in result had to have an above knee amputation on October 18th 2019. During this time, I was still progressing with my education at Tennessee Wesleyan University to receive my Bachelor’s degree. Prior to the accident I was a dual college athlete for the colleges cheerleading team and track & field team. I also highly enjoy water sports consisting of knee boarding, skiing, swimming, and kayaking. I just finished my senior year of college and was able to WALK across the stage. I have most recently started a job as a cheerleading coach for a competitive gym. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, and traveling. I can’t wait to get a water leg so that I am able to return to the aquatic activities that I love. Thank you JTF!
