Sarah
Sarah is an energetic, vivacious teen adopted from China who, despite her disability, seems to accomplish everything she puts her mind to. Sarah has been doing karate since she was 5, and holds a first degree blackbelt with the World Tang Soo Do Association. In addition to her training and competitions, Sarah loves to help the lower belts with testing and preparation. She has played soccer, and currently runs cross country on the team at her High School. In fourth grade Sarah had to choose an instrument so she could join the band. She chose trombone as it does not require fingers. She continues to play and hopes to be in the marching band this year. Sarah is also active and involved at church, participating in the youth program, going on mission trips, and enjoys reading her Bible regularly. She recently returned from three weeks at a Christian camp in Northern Wisconsin where she got to participate in activities like waterskiing, ropes courses, hiking and rock climbing among other things. Sarah’s kind heart, outgoing personality, quick wit and constant sense of humor, keeps a spark in our family and lights up the room.
