Adopted from China at age 8 1/2, AnnaLynn has thrived. One year after being home, she had a low BKA (SIMS type surgery) of her left foot because it was a club foot/crushed growth plates, it stopped growing, arthritic, it was a fixed ankle, and limp walking on the side of her foot. This was not functional at all, causing scoliosis from the 1 1/2 inch limb length discrepancy. She learned English in 6 months and actually asked if “the doctor could take off her bad foot and give her a new one” after seeing another little Chinese girl running in her prosthetic leg. We are so happy to help her however we can!
