Casey
Casey is sixteen years old and has big dreams that she is working hard towards. A right above knee amputee, Casey’s dream is to be a Paralympic swimmer. Last year, Casey made it to the US Paralympic swim trials in Minneapolis and also attended Worlds in Indianapolis this past spring. Casey is an adventure seeker and loves to ski and recently went hiking with her Girl Scouts Troop in the Swiss Alps! Prior to becoming a JTF Kid, Casey’s previous prosthesis was very cumbersome and made doing the activities she loves difficult. Now that she has a new specially adapted sports leg with a detachable knee, she has the ability to swim and ski with much more ease and confidence.
