Violet

Violet’s journey began in June 2020 with severe left ankle pain and after several doctor visits, she was diagnosed with a severe case of osteomyelitis. After being rushed to Indianapolis for more advanced treatment, it was determined that Violet’s tibia had been attacked by a virulent strain of MRSA, which started the process of what turned into 11 limb salvage surgeries before ultimately having a left below knee amputation in February 2021. After four more surgeries following her amputation, Violet received her first prosthesis just over a year ago and is doing well, but is held back by her current prosthesis and its inability to perform running activities. We are excited to help Violet get back running again and live the life she deserves!
